On November 7, 2018, an Interprofessional Education event (IPE) took place at Sage Colleges of Health Sciences for the purpose of fostering teamwork and interviewing skills among graduate students of six healthcare disciplines. This night they were to learn about Scleroderma by way of a Keynote Presentation by Patient-Advocate Amy Gietzen, and by interacting with patients at their team tables.

Guided by an expert panel of instructors, students and patients found the event to be highly beneficial.

The disciplines included Nursing, Nutrition, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacology, Psychology, and Physical Therapy.
