About Dr. Starchan:
Dr. Strachan is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at SUNY Stony Brook and Director of the Stony Brook Pulmonary Hypertension Center. He received his undergraduate degree cum laude from Adelphi University in Garden City, NY and his medical degree from State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, NY.

He joined the faculty at Stony Brook in 2006 as a member of the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. He participates in the full activities of the division including rounding on the Pulmonary Consult service and in the Medical Intensive Care Unit. Dr. Strachan has participated in several international multicenter clinical trials for pulmonary hypertension and pulmonary fibrosis. He has been a co-author of several articles found on PubMed. His offices are located in Hauppauge NY
